Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy covers the PlanetWob website and GASOIL. GASOIL provides charting, visual indicators, and configured alerts. New products or materially different data uses will be described before they are introduced.

GASOIL uses a wallet-linked account, authentication provider, and profile. Deleting the account affects access and associated application data.

Wallet and account data

PlanetWob uses wallet-based authentication. PlanetWob stores the wallet address connected to your account, your unique username, optional display name, avatar and bio, your Access level, and the workspace data required to provide the Service. An email address or phone number is not required.

Wallet verification uses a signed message. It does not expose your private key, move funds, or grant permission to spend your assets.

Token-based access eligibility

If token-based Access eligibility is offered, PlanetWob may read public on-chain balances associated with the connected wallet solely to verify whether that wallet satisfies the disclosed grant conditions. PlanetWob may store the eligibility result, token contract, network, balance threshold, and verification time required to administer that grant. It does not require token transfer or spending approval.

PlanetWob and its products currently have no official token. An unofficial token is not treated as affiliated with or endorsed by PlanetWob or its products unless a specific Access grant and exact token contract are announced through official PlanetWob channels.

GASOIL workspace and activity data

PlanetWob stores the chart routes, drawings, alert settings, plans, mapped-market state, workspace preferences, and delivery settings you choose to save. Limited account activity, such as sign-in, sign-out, session activity, feature use, alert events, delivery results, and errors, is also recorded for operation, security, support, and troubleshooting.

IP-derived country and infrastructure logs

PlanetWob does not intentionally store your raw IP address in its application database. The application backend receives a country code derived from the request by the network provider and stores that country code on your profile. It may later be retained as payment-time evidence for tax and compliance purposes. The stored value is a country code, not the raw IP address.

Short-lived IP counters may be held in runtime memory for rate limiting and abuse prevention. Infrastructure providers may also process or retain request IP addresses in their own security and operational logs under their respective terms and retention settings.

Session data

Strictly necessary browser storage is used to maintain your authenticated session, restore workspace context, and prevent unsaved state from being lost. PlanetWob does not use advertising cookies or third-party behavioural analytics.

When GASOIL Companion desktop monitoring is enabled, GASOIL exchanges the current account session for a restricted monitor credential. The extension stores that credential, the account's immutable username, and recent event identifiers in Chrome's local extension storage. It can use the credential only to read that account's alerts through the GASOIL monitor endpoint. Signing out revokes and clears the extension credential.

Data not requested

• Your private key or seed phrase.
• Payment-card or bank-account data.
• An email address or phone number for account access.
• Advertising profiles or third-party tracking identifiers.

PlanetWob processes account and workspace data to authenticate wallet ownership, verify access, save GASOIL workspaces, operate chart indicators and configured alert delivery, provide support, prevent abuse, and maintain service reliability.

Where a token-based Access grant is offered, public on-chain wallet data is processed only to determine and administer eligibility for that disclosed grant.

Where the GDPR applies, the principal legal bases are performance of a contract or steps requested before entering one, legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, and compliance with legal obligations where payment, tax, accounting, or regulatory records are required.

PlanetWob does not rely on consent for advertising or analytics because the Service does not run non-essential advertising or behavioural tracking.

Consistent with PlanetWob's restrained release model, personal data is not used to manufacture engagement, build advertising profiles, or create unrelated commercial products. Processing remains limited to operating, securing, supporting, and lawfully maintaining the tools made available.

Account lifetime

The shared account is subject to its applicable access-retention policy: Free accounts are deleted after 3 consecutive days without recorded workspace activity, except while a Core Early Access request is pending manual review. If a Core Early Access grant ends, its workspace remains recoverable for 30 days unless Access is restored. Private-access accounts have a 60-day inactivity period. Deletion affects the shared account, not just the product being viewed.

The inactivity clock is refreshed while an unlocked workspace is used. Where an Access grant or future paid term has a defined end, its published recovery period is calculated from that expiry rather than from the last chart edit.

Account deletion

The account deletion control, and any automatic deletion under the periods above, removes the account and associated application data that PlanetWob is permitted to delete. Deletion is irreversible. Records that must be retained to comply with tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute, or other legal obligations may be kept only for the required period.

Public blockchain records

Transactions recorded on a public blockchain exist independently of PlanetWob and cannot be altered or erased through the Service. If Access payments are enabled, PlanetWob may retain a payment evidence record containing the transaction hash, wallet, Access level, payment amounts, timestamps, and country evidence applicable at the time of payment.

PlanetWob does not sell or rent personal data and does not share it with advertisers or data brokers. Data is processed only by infrastructure required to operate the Service and by authorities when disclosure is legally required.

• Content delivery, network security, and request-routing providers.
• Database, authentication, storage, and backend hosting providers.
• Virtual server and market-data infrastructure providers.
• Discord or Telegram when you configure those delivery routes.
• Public authorities where a valid legal obligation requires disclosure.

Core database and server infrastructure is configured in the European Union where available. Some providers operate global networks or are headquartered outside the EU/EEA. Request data may therefore be processed outside the EU/EEA under the provider's applicable data-processing terms and recognised transfer safeguards, including adequacy mechanisms or Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

Where the GDPR applies, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and complaint to your local supervisory authority. In Portugal, the supervisory authority is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).

Rights available directly in PlanetWob can be exercised from Profile & User Settings, including correction of editable profile details and account deletion. Approved open-beta testers may also submit a privacy-related message through Feedback & Bugs inside the workspace.

PlanetWob is not directed to anyone under 18 and does not knowingly collect data from minors. An account identified as being linked to a minor may be deleted or restricted as appropriate.

Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are applied, including encrypted transport, access controls, restricted backend credentials, and server-authoritative account and alert state. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

You remain responsible for your wallet, private keys, seed phrase, device, and workspace password. PlanetWob cannot recover a wallet you no longer control and will never ask for a private key or seed phrase.

This Policy may be updated as PlanetWob changes or as legal requirements develop. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or website before they take effect where required.

PlanetWob currently operates GASOIL as a non-commercial open beta. Account and privacy controls are provided inside Profile & User Settings. Where available, Feedback & Bugs can also be used for product-related communication.
